Langley Vale

Proposal for RIBA Competition, Visitor Hub in Langley Vale Wood, Surrey, 2016. Our proposal is to create a subtle yet engaging cultural addition to the landscape of Langley Vale. We have carefully placed the hub as a timber solitaire within the landscape. It is punctuated by a canopied void, creating a clear entrance sequence that frames the memorial site. Our primary aim is to remain with the outdoors, but with a reception that offers a comfortable retreat from the elements.
